I’ve loved photography since I was little. When I was a 12-year-old boy I used to take photos with my father`s «zenith-e» camera – and it was really magical! At that time, I thought I was going to become an artist, so I went to study graphic design in BGIKI in Belgorod. Time passed, I moved to Moscow and started working in commercial photography, advertising and fashion sphere. In a very short period of time I managed to collaborate with many Russian and foreign magazines, fashion designers and TV stars

Since a was young kid I have always wanted to shoot videos. During high school in Russia I started skateboarding with my friends and I began filming them doing tricks. After a few years I moved to Italy and kept skating and shooting Italian skaters. In 2012 my first full length documentary about Italian skateboarding came out featuring Nike Italian team. Since then I started directing. Being based in Milan, my fashion and artistic vision grew and I combined it with my ruff inner skater way of shooting in order to direct major brand commercials in the fashion, art and ADV world such as: Coca Cola, Sunglass Hut, Puma, New Era, Baracuta, Vogue, Arnette, Diadora, Sunnei etc.

There’s nothing harder, then to try to write about yourself. So where do I begin? From early age I was interested in cinema and how it allows you to imagine the world around you. I was fascinated by this powerful instrument that can express emotions on to the screen for people to understand.

There’s nothing more inspiring to me than life. Maybe that was the main reason I applied to All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography VGIK to study Documentary Filmmaking. During my student years my films were shown at various international film festivals around the globe.

For my works I find inspiration in life and art, that always walk hand in hand together. Always eager to try something new and unknown, put myself to challenge. My main interest in film is exploring life in new angles and visualise the emotions and feelings, because I believe that it’s the main purpose of art.

I would say that a directing career is a very natural manifestation of my keen interest in the human character. Perhaps, that is one of the reasons I have chosen comedy as my primary genre — people have learned to use humour as a coping mechanism through losses, personal and global tragedies. We take our deepest fears and turn them into inspiration, entertainment.
I have been lucky to be able to share my work not only with local Russian audience, but also with an international one — one of my films (’The road to’, 2012) has been awarded the Grand Prix at the Cinefondation competition during the Cannes Film Festival. My first feature film (‘Bite the Dust’, 2014) also premiered in Cannes.
The romantic comedies I direct are usually well accepted by the audience. I always do my best to make the stories I create and the characters in them, as relatable as possible. Which is why it is essential for me to take part in the script development process.

I am a photographer who specializes in capturing raw, authentic moments that invoke a sense of nostalgia.

Inspired by the open road and my own nomadic nature, my photographs are deliberately cinematic, and reveal friends in the act of escaping from their regular lives into newly enticing and perilous modes of existence. I take inspiration from people who choose to live outside the conformity of mainstream society and I seek to capture personal moments I would like to remember.  Humble adventures rooted in poignancy provide an intimate documentation of the pursuit of unburdened freedom.

I was born in 1989 and grew up in Harlem NY. I never had any formal photography training and I am mostly self-taught. My primary training has been on the job as a photo-assistant in NYC for over 5 years, where I have regularly assisted photographers Sebastian Kim and Gilles Bensimon amongst other talented fashion and commercial photographers.

I am currently based in NYC
